To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, Pakistan on Tuesday formally launched the locally produced vaccine. AIY News gave information about this. Pakistan has named this homemade vaccine ‘PakVac Covid-19 Vaccine’. National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) chief Asad Umar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health Dr Faisal Sultan addressed an event related to the launch of the locally manufactured PakVac vaccine.
Asad Umar said that the coronavirus pandemic has become a challenge for the whole world and today’s biggest demand is corona vaccines. He said that the condition of the epidemic in Pakistan is much better than the blessings of Allah compared to other countries. He said that no disease cares for any boundary nor discriminates in religion.
Pakistan to spend 60 billion rupees on hospitals
He said that now we are going to take important decisions to deal with this challenge. We will have to take immediate steps for hospitals across the country. The Federal Government has included the Mega Health Project in the PSDP. Asad Umar said that the country is proud of the teams of NIH. The government is taking a lesson from its shortcomings. The federal budget has been increased and inshallah will improve more and more in all things.
He said that the Center is spending 60 billion rupees to improve hospitals across Pakistan. SAPM Dr Faisal Sultan said that after every challenge we always get a chance to improve our system. We have strong friendship with China and amidst the epidemic crisis, Chinese authorities have proved it. He said that we will see full production of the COVID-19 vaccine- PakVac in Pakistan for the next few years.
The danger is not yet over
Pakistan’s planning minister said the positivity rate in the country dropped from 10 to 11 per cent to 4.5 per cent last week, but warned that the danger was not over. On the other hand, according to the Ministry of National Health Service, there have been at least 2,117 new cases in the last 24 hours. In this way, the number of infected people in the country has increased to 9,21,053. At the same time, 43 people lost their lives due to corona during this time, thus increasing the number of corona dead in the neighboring country to 20,779.
