Shah Mahmood Qureshi on India-Pakistan Talks: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said on Friday that it is India’s responsibility to prepare an aula for talks with Pakistan. Pakistan on Talks With India said in a statement issued by the External Affairs Minister, “If India reviews its policy and expresses readiness for peaceful resolution on issues including Kashmir dispute, Pakistan will not refrain from negotiating.” ‘
Qureshi said that after Prime Minister Imran Khan came to power, he had said that if the neighboring country (India) moves one step forward, Pakistan will take two steps towards peace. Qureshi described the re-enacted Ceasefire Agreement between the two countries as a positive step. Earlier on Thursday, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa spoke on a number of internal and external issues in Islamabad Dialogue organized in Islamabad.
Bajwa – Capacity remains hostage
Bajwa had said that it would be possible to ensure connectivity between East and West Asia only with the stabilizing of Indo-Pak relations. Through this, the capacity of South and Central Asia will be unlocked. Bajwa said, this capability has always been hostage due to disputes and unresolved issues between neighbors armed with two nuclear weapons. Bajwa’s statement of peace came at a time when Prime Minister Imran Khan had said a day earlier that India would have to take the first step to normalize relations with Pakistan.
‘Time to move ahead by burying the past’
The Pakistan army chief said the Kashmir issue, saying the issue of Kashmir is the most important. It is important to understand that till the Kashmir issue is not resolved through peaceful means. Until then, no peace initiative in this area will be successful (Bajwa on India-Pakistan Talks). Bajwa said, we feel that this is the time when we should bury the past and move forward. Our neighboring country needs to create a favorable environment in Kashmir. The world has seen the havoc of World War and Cold War. Everyone is aware of how it ravaged havoc against humanity.
