Dilip Kumar Death News: President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has expressed grief over the death of Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar.

Dilip Kumar, the first superstar of Hindi films, died in Mumbai on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness. He was born in Peshawar, Pakistan and even today his ancestral home is located in Peshawar. The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi has condoled the death of Dilip Kumar. He tweeted and said, ‘Sad to see Dilip Kumar (Yusuf Khan) departing from his worldly abode. An excellent actor, a humble person and a distinguished personality. Condolences to his family and fans. may his soul rest in peace.’
Dilip Kumar was awarded the country’s highest civilian honor ‘Nishan-e-Imtiaz’ by the Government of Pakistan in 1998. There was a lot of politics in India regarding this. Shiv Sena, which was a part of the then Maharashtra government, protested a lot about this honor. Shiv Sena had even raised questions on Dilip Kumar’s patriotism when he was awarded the Pakistani honor. After this, Dilip Kumar consulted the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and then decided to keep the Pakistani award with him.

Let us inform that Dilip Kumar, who was known as ‘Tragedy King’ in the Hindi film world, died on Wednesday morning after a long illness. His family members and doctors treating him gave this information. Kumar was 98 years old. Dilip Kumar was admitted to the Non-Covid Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hinduja Hospital since Tuesday. Dr. Jaleel Parkar, who was treating Kumar, said, he died at 7.30 am due to prolonged illness.
Film career spanning six decades
Dilip Kumar’s family friend Faizal Farooqui wrote on the actor’s official Twitter account, “With a heavy heart and extremely sad, I am announcing that our dear Dilip Sahab passed away a few minutes ago. We are the servants of Allah and we have to go back to Him only. The actor was admitted to the hospital several times in the last one month. Dilip Kumar, one of the most popular actors of Hindi films, started his career in 1944 with the film ‘Jwar Bhata’ and in his six-decade-long career, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Naya Daur’ And gave many hit films like ‘Ram Aur Shyam’. He was last seen in the 1998 film ‘Qila’.
