The whole world is struggling with a new wave of Corona. The name of Pakistan is also included in this. The authorities are considering a complete lockdown in Lahore for a week or two, amid a surprising increase in Corona cases in Pakistan’s Punjab. The proposal will be presented at the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting on Monday.
The final decision will be taken after getting approval from NCOC and Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Punjab Health Department noted that markets have already been closed at 6 pm to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Death toll reached 15,501
A meeting of the Punjab Cabinet sub-committee was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid. The committee expressed concern over the worsening situation of the third wave of epidemic across the province. During the meeting, the committee recommended stringent measures in cities with more than 15 percent positive cases.
NCOC data showed that 58 people lost their lives with coronovirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the nationwide death toll to 15,501. The country reported 4,584 new coronovirus cases in the last 24 hours with 10.29% positivity. Apart from this, in the last 24 hours, around 3,135 patients across the country have recovered from the virus, which till date is 6,34,835.
Bangladesh imposed lockdown
Due to the rapid increase in Corona cases, many countries of the world are returning to measures like lockdown. On April 3, Bangladesh announced a seven-day lockdown. On Monday, the news came that the government has once again decided to impose complete lockdown amidst the fast growing cases in the country.
Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was also found infected with the Corona virus on Sunday. He was temporarily released from jail a year ago due to the epidemic. This information was given in media reports. However, the leaders of the party have not confirmed this news.
