Pakistani channel Geo News quoted Dr. Faizal Sultan as saying that the country has received a total of 18.7 million doses till 28 April. Dr. Sultan is a special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan in health matters. Pakistan has given 6.1 million doses to people till 27 May. While 70 percent of the country’s population has been targeted to be vaccinated. Out of such a population, 4.5 percent have received single dose of vaccine, while 2.2 percent have been fully vaccinated.

To eliminate the hesitation of the vaccine and to speed up the vaccination, health officials have prepared a plan. From Thursday, it has been announced to apply vaccine to people over 19 years. What did the government of Pakistan say?

The Government of Pakistan (Pakistan Government on Vaccines) has said in this case that all the vaccines it has purchased, there is no need to keep them in a cold environment. Faizal Sultan has said that the vaccine approved by Pakistan has minimum and maximum expiry dates.
Expiry Date of Chinese Vaccine?
According to the Pakistani report, the minimum expiry date for China’s Sinofarm vaccine is December 16, 2022, while the maximum expiry date is March 30, 2023. On the other hand, the minimum expiry date for China’s Synovac vaccine is April 24, 2023 and the maximum expiry date is April 10, 2024 (Chinese Vaccines in Pakistan). Apart from this, the minimum expiry date of the cancer vaccine made in China – August 18, 2021 and the maximum expiry date – October 12, 2021.
