Recently, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Ali Amin Gandapur on behalf of his party as the chairman of the election campaign committee. This committee has been given the task to monitor and carry forward the election campaign in PoK. During this, a surprising thing happened that PTI’s PoK sex president Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi is not part of the election committee.
Competition from Maryam’s party
Imran is trying hard to win these elections. Imran Khan is facing a tough competition from the opposition party PMLN of Maryam Nawaz here. At the same time, Gandapur has come to PoK for a four-day election tour. He has addressed election public meetings in many areas (POK Election Campaign). In a rally, he even praised Imran Khan and said that he has been successful in raising the Kashmir issue at the international level. He told people that they should vote for Imran Khan and his party.

Elections to be held on July 25
PoK is going to go to polls on July 25, under which the members of the assembly will be elected. There is also a separate Election Commission here (POK Elections Date 2021). Imran Khan is the chairman of the Kashmir Council, in this sense he is at the highest post of the region. That is, conducting elections is nothing less than a hoax. This region has 53 seats in the assembly, out of which 33 members are directly elected from 10 districts. Whereas 12 seats are given to Kashmiri refugees living in four provinces of Pakistan. One seat is for foreign Kashmiri and five are reserved for women. There is one seat each for Technocrats and Ulema-e-din.
