Terrible riots took place on Sunday in Karachi, Pakistan. Police and residents said hundreds of protesters attacked Bahria Town Karachi on Sunday and torched several shops and vehicles in the housing society. A large number of protesters were protesting outside the housing society on the super highway. They were protesting the eviction from the ancestral lands around them.
A heavy police force was present on the spot to deal with any difficult situation. Simultaneously, the Bahria Town Management had sealed the entry gate with a container, but the protesters broke the barricading gate and entered the housing society. According to an eyewitness, the protesters torched a Suzuki car showroom and a fast food joint.

Local villagers organized a sit-in
The dharna was organized by the residents of nearby villages. According to him, he was forced to give his land to Bahria Town. Members of Sindh United Party, Sindh Tarki Pasand Party, Qaumi Awami Tehreek, Jiye Sindh Mahaz, Awami Workers Party, Awami Jamhoori Party, Sindh Mazhamat Tehreek, Hari Committee and Karachi Swadeshi Rights Coalition took part in this dharna.
