Leader without mask in US House
Face Masks Rules in US: In the US, many leaders were seen wearing masks after the compulsory wearing of masks for people taking both doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine. America’s First Lady Jill Biden said that it is as if we are finally moving without a mask. At the same time, a Republican Senator said that not applying a mask ‘definitely helps in talking well’.
In the House on Friday, MPs have objected to the need to wear masks till all 435 members get COVID-19 vaccine installed. The government is working on issuing new federal guidelines in Washington that relax the rules that fewer masks should be worn (US Face Mask Rules). The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Thursday that people who have taken both doses of the vaccine do not need to wear masks.
Masks in the house are important
However, according to Dr. Brian Monhan’s memorandum in Capitol Hill (US Parliament), MPs must wear masks in the House. A recent survey showed that almost one out of every four MPs in the House did not have both vaccines (US Face Mask Rules). MPs can remove their masks while giving a speech in the House but after that they will have to wear masks. Journalists also saw President Joe Biden without a mask.
Journalists without visible masks
When asked if he was enjoying the first day of his work without wearing a mask, he said, ‘Yes’. Nearly a year later, for the first time, the journalist was unmasked at the regular press conference of White House on Face Mask press secretary Jane Saki.
