Doctors believe that corona infection may take 14 days to recover, but a case of corona has been reported in Britain which took 10 months to recover. Researchers said on Thursday that a 72-year-old British man was continuously corona positive for 10 months, which is believed to be the longest recorded case of continuous infection.
Dave Smith, a retired driving instructor from Bristol, said that he was found corona positive 43 times and was hospitalized seven times. He told the BBC he had lost his courage. He called the family and said goodbye. Ed Moran, an expert at the University of Bristol and the North Bristol NHS Trust, said the active virus had spread throughout Smith’s body.
Coughing continuously for 5 hours
He also told journalist John Kay how his energy level had dropped drastically and how he only coughed for 5 hours a night. Dave said, ‘I told my wife, Lynn, let me go. I’m swinging but it’s too bad.’ His wife said that there were times when we felt that he would not be able to survive anymore.
Dave was treated with a combination of anti-viral drugs and it took two weeks. The drug was provided by an American company called Regeneron. When the doctors told Dave that his report had come negative, he could not believe it. The doctors asked him to get tested again after a week and a week later his test report came back negative.
