Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Ignores India: The ongoing dispute between Israel and Palestine continues to deepen. Hamas is continuously rocketing Israel from Gaza, in response Israel is also targeting its bases. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a tweet on Sunday morning. In which he has currently thanked 25 countries for supporting Israel. Although he has not taken the name of India in his tweet.
In his tweet, Netanyahu wrote, “Thank you for standing firmly with the Israeli flag and supporting our right to self-defense against terrorist attacks.” While sharing the map of these 25 countries, he has thanked them (India on Israel Palestine Issue). The 25 countries that Netanyahu has named in his tweet are named after 25 countries including Albania, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cyprus, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Ukraine after America.
Leaders support Israel
Many leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India have expressed their support for Israel in this matter. Also, a large number of people have tweeted in support of #IStandWithIsrael. But there are also a lot of tweets in support of Palestine in India. However, no statement has been issued by India as a country. The Foreign Ministry of India has not released any official statement in this matter. Only India’s permanent representative in the United Nations, TS Tirumurthy, gave India’s favor in this regard.

What did India say in the UN?
Thirumurthy had said in the UN Security Council meeting on 11 May, “Both sides should avoid changing the status quo on the ground.” In the meeting the next day, Tirumurthy said that India condemns this violence and the rocket attacks from Gaza. He emphasized the need to end the violence soon (Israel Hamas Issue). At the same time, Netanyahu has said in another tweet that the Israeli attacks will continue until the safety of its citizens is ensured. He said that the extremist organization Hamas is committing double war crimes. He is targeting Israeli citizens and hiding behind Palestinians to protect himself.
