Hubble Telescope: NASA’s Hubble Telescope has a problem for the past one month, which was not getting fixed even after many efforts. But now NASA has come to know about the main problem.
Hubble Telescope (NASA Hubble Telescope)
Hubble Telescope Trouble: The Hubble Telescope of the US space agency NASA has not improved so far. Now NASA will once again try to fix it. Through this telescope we were able to see the world of space. For the last three decades, this telescope was sending pictures of space and different galaxies (Hubble Telescope). But on June 13, there was a sudden failure in its computer. Due to which the equipment related to science had to be put in ‘Safe Mode’.
There has been no fault with these devices. There is no error in their configuration and they are completely safe. The main fault was found in the payload computer, which is housed in the Science Instrument Command and Data Handling (SI C&DH) unit. Its job is to control and monitor Hubble’s scientific instruments. Efforts have been made to fix the telescope after it failed (Hubble Telescope Achievements). In which an attempt was made to run the computer and its backup computer again.
NASA found the problem
Also attempts to reconfigure it did not succeed. But now the Hubble team has found out the problem, which is in the Power Control Unit or PCU (Hubble Telescope Alternative). It supplies electricity to the computer. Power control science consists of instrument command and data handling. Ground controllers will work on back-up to get one of the most important scientific instruments in history running again. NASA says that there is a problem with the payload computer, while the telescope is perfectly fine.
Team will back up PCU
Experts had sent a command to reset the PCU but could not succeed. Now NASA has approved the Hubble repair team to back up the PCU. The Hubble Telescope was launched in the 1990s. Which has made more than 15 lakh observations so far. About 18 thousand scientific papers have been published using these data. NASA is now soon going to launch the James Webb Space Telescope at the end of this year.
