According to the condition of China, more than 300 Indians who have got the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine have appealed to him to remove the travel restrictions from China and allow them to return to their business. On March 15, China made it mandatory for travelers coming from India and 19 other countries to get the Chinese COVID-19 Vaccine.
In a notice issued by the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi, it was said that the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in India to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination certificate manufactured by China in order to restore the movement of people in an orderly manner from March 15, 2021. Will provide travel facility to the recipients.
Wandered abroad for vaccine but all in vain!
With this announcement, hundreds of Indians working in China but stuck there due to travel restrictions after a long period of COVID-19 disease in India were left in a dilemma as Chinese vaccines were not available in India. Desperate to return to work and meet families in China, more than 300 Indians went to countries like Nepal, Maldives apart from Dubai for Chinese vaccines and stayed there for over a month.
Due to this he also had to bear heavy expenses but his efforts went in vain as the Chinese embassy has not started issuing visas for his return. After that 202 Indians, who have received the Chinese vaccine, wrote a joint letter to China’s ambassador to India Sun Weidong earlier this month. He has also written a letter to the Indian Embassy in Beijing seeking help for his early return.
Requested in a letter to the Chinese ambassador
In a letter sent to the Chinese ambassador, the Indian community living in China has written, ‘Honourable Sun Sir, now that we have successfully got the Chinese vaccine, please show us the way forward. We request you to start issuing visas to Indian nationals which have been stopped since early November last year.
According to the news agency PTI-Bhasha, the letter contains the names of 202 Indians who have got Chinese vaccines. By the way, a member of the association told the news agency that the number of Indians who got vaccinated is more than 300. When asked in this regard, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said in a media briefing on Monday that they should contact the Chinese Embassy in India.
When told that he had already approached the Chinese embassy but without success, he said, “I have already clarified China’s principled stand on this issue.” I will still ask you to contact the Chinese Embassy in India for details.
