Popular Pakistani actress Armeena Rana Khan was also among those tweeting about this incident of minor girl. Khan alleged in his tweet that the 14-year-old girl from Faisalabad was gang-raped and asked to read Kalma. He claimed that his head was shaved when the minor girl refused to do so. When the alleged incident was brought to the notice of Azhar Mashwani, the focal person of the digital media of the Punjab Chief Minister, he said that the incident took place in Shikarpur in Sindh instead of Faisalabad. However, police officers of Faisalabad and Shikarpur denied such an incident.
What did Pakistani police officers say?
Faisalabad city police officer (CPO) Mohammad Sohail Chaudhary said that it was a false news that a girl was raped in Faisalabad and forced to accept Islam. He said that this matter was investigated and it was found that the incident is completely reversed and the matter is related to Sukkur district. However, Sukkur Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Fida Hussain categorically denied that a Christian girl had been criminally attacked by anyone.
