Carly Nzanzu Kasivita, governor of the country’s North Kivu province, reported that Beau Manyama-Moliso attacked the village in the Resti Beni area late Tuesday. He said that the army took action and heaped two attackers.
In Beni, President of the Association of Grassroots Groups Nola Katongarwaki Muliaviyo said that we are very sorry for this incident. The ADF raided the village and killed more than 20 people. ADF has killed hundreds of people
The US reported earlier this month that the ADF had links with the dreaded terrorist organization Islamic State (IS). According to the Kivu Security Tracker, an NGO tracking the turbulent eastern region of the DRC, the extremist organization has brutally murdered more than 1,200 civilians in the Beni region alone since 2017. On March 19, the United Nations said that since the beginning of this year, the increase in ADF attacks has led to the deaths of around 200 people and that 40,000 people had to leave their homes and flee. 17 people died in separate attacks on 23 March.

Contacted with all the armies of neighboring countries for the appropriate strategy to be established to establish peace in the Great Lakes region. Army spokesman General Leon-Richard Kasonga said the DRC favors strengthening military cooperation, regular consultation between armies in the region and the exchange of intelligence.
