China High Speed Maglev Train: China has started the world’s fastest running train. Its speed is such that you will be surprised to hear it. The maximum speed of maglev train is 620 kmph. Chinese media claims that this is the fastest vehicle to run on earth. According to China’s state media Xinhua, this train service started in the coastal city of Qingdao.
According to the information, this high speed train project was started in October 2016. In 2019, a prototype of this train with a speed of 600 kilometers per hour was prepared. After this, it was successfully tested in June 2020. Ding Sansan, the lead engineer of this project, says that 10 coaches can be installed in this train. Each compartment can seat 100 passengers.
1500 km journey in few hours
Project’s lead engineer Ding Sansan says that this train service has been started keeping in mind the long distance travel. This train is better for traveling within a radius of 1500 km. At such a high speed, the long journey will be covered in just a few hours. The maximum speed of this train is 620 kmph. Maglev trains run on High Temperature Super Conducting (HTS) power. Because of this, the passenger sitting in it feels that the train is floating on a magnetic track. During this there is no contact between the train and the track. China has been using this technology for the last two decades.

Because of this, China wants to develop more and more infrastructure.
Beijing to Shanghai in 2.5 hours
