Jeff Bezos, the founder of e-commerce sector giant Amazon, will soon be relieved of the company’s CEO. In the next innings, he will take over as the executive chairman of the company. Bezos held this responsibility for nearly 30 years. He will be appointed by Andy Jassy as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, who currently serves as the head of cloud computing in the company. Amazon shared the financial results of the company with a blog about Jeff Bezos’ changing role in the company. Bezos will become executive chairman in the third quarter of 2021 this year. With assets worth Rs 14.37 lakh crore, Bezos is the second richest man in the world.

In a letter to Amazon workers, Bezos has written that he wants to focus on new beginnings. In an e-mail, Bezos wrote that Amazon now wants to play a bigger role on socially important issues. About his new role, Bezos wrote that as executive chairman, he will be involved in important initiatives of Amazon. Apart from this, he will focus on Day 1 Fund, Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post along with other important things.
