Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is on a visit to India. According to Japan’s news agency Nikkei, the Prime Minister of Japan can announce to invest 5 trillion yen ($4200 million = Rs 3.19 lakh crore) in India in the next five years. This is higher than the investment announcement of 3.5 trillion yen (Rs 365.81 lakh crore) in five years by former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during his reign. Abe had come on a tour of India in the year 2014 and then he made this announcement. Japan is currently supporting urban infrastructure development in India and high-speed railways based on bullet train technology.

According to media reports, Kishida can agree on a loan of 30 thousand crore yen (Rs 19 thousand crore). Apart from this, there can be an agreement on reduction in carbon.
