Italy has imposed a three-day strict nationwide lockdown to halt Easter travel and increase coronavirus prevention regulations. Even though the Health Ministry has said that the rate of infection is decreasing, but as a precaution, all areas were closed as ‘Red Zone’ on Monday.
The lockdown announced last month meant a ban on personal movement and limiting travel. Non-essential shops are closed and restaurants and bars are open only for ‘take-out’. The police are constantly checking the roads to ensure that people stay inside their homes.
Extra patrolling police
Police are doing extra patrolling to prevent crowds in squares and parks, which are usually filled with picnics on Easter weekend. The outbreak of Corona started in Italy from Europe itself. So far, 3.6 million cases have been reported here and more than 110,000 deaths have been reported due to infection so far.
Lockdown in Bangladesh and France
Italy has deployed 10.8 million vaccines so far. However, out of 60 million people in the country, only 3.3 million people have been given both doses of the vaccine. Apart from Italy, many countries have opted for lockdown to face the new wave of Corona. Bangladesh’s name was also included in it on Saturday.
Bangladesh has become the first Asian country, which has decided to lockdown nationwide due to the increasing cases of Corona. There will be a lockdown in the entire country for seven days from Monday. On Wednesday, France also announced a four-week lockdown. President Emmanuel Macron ordered the lockdown saying that the schools should be closed for at least three weeks.
