Iran’s Paramilitary Revolutionary Guard on Monday inaugurated the new Underground Center for Missile Storage. This information was given by the country’s state television. In the news, the commander of the guard, General Hussein Salami, was quoted as saying that the cruise and ballistic missile would make the force’s navy more powerful.
Television showed footage of dozens of missiles in a closed space that resembled an underground corridor. It did not reveal where this center is, nor did it give the number of missiles placed there. Please tell that Iran has increased the number of underground centers across the country since 2011. At the same time, deployment has also increased on the south coast near the Gulf of Hurmuz.
2000 km firepower
Iran claims that it has missiles that can go up to a distance of two thousand kilometers, due to which most of the places of West Asia including Israel are in its JD. The US and its allies see Iran’s missile and nuclear program as a threat. Let me tell you that tension has been going on between the US and Iran for a long time on nuclear deal.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif called on the US on Monday to re-engage with the international agreement limiting his country’s nuclear ambition as soon as possible. He also warned that due to the upcoming elections in the Islamic Republic, the progress of any talks in this regard may be interrupted.
US-Iran face to face regarding nuclear deal
It is known that the Trump administration of the United States had unilaterally separated its country from the nuclear deal in the year 2018. In this agreement, Iran agreed to limit uranium enrichment in lieu of easing of economic sanctions.
When the US re-enforced some sanctions and imposed other sanctions, Iran slowly and publicly violated the limits set for its nuclear development in the agreement. The White House official said that the new US administration is ready to return to the agreement if Tehran shows ‘commitment’ to the terms of the agreement.
