Iran has hunkered down after the alleged cyber attack of Israel’s dreaded agency Mossad on its Natanz Nuclear Site. Iran has claimed that after this attack, it will now start the highest ever Uranium Enrichment. Iran said it would start uranium enrichment by 60 percent. Iran’s chief negotiator on nuclear matters told about this. Government news agency ‘Irna’ said that nuclear negotiator Abbas Aragachi announced it in Vienna.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Javed Zarif had warned that the attack on the weekend could damage the ongoing negotiations on the nuclear deal with global forces. Probably after the Israeli attack, this declaration of Iran is being called a provocative step. With this, Israel can take some more steps. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that his country will never allow Iran to build nuclear weapons. Iran was enriching uranium by 20 percent to make weapons.
The process of enhancement will start from today
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that it was aware of the news but did not comment on it at the moment. Press TV, the English unit of Iran’s state television, has said that the IAEA has been made aware of the move. The process of cultivation in the plant will start from Wednesday. The public broadcaster quoted Argchi as saying that Iran would make 1,000 centrifuges at the Natanz plant. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamani warned that uranium enrichment would be up to 60 percent if the country needed it.
Mossad lights the nuclear plant
Iran had earlier said that it would augment 60 percent uranium for nuclear-powered ships. At present, the Iranian Navy does not have any such ship. Not much information is available about the weekend attack on the Natanz plant. Initially, it was revealed that the operation of the electricity grid has come to a standstill, but later Iranian officials called it a cyber attack. The US has said that it has nothing to do with the incident at the Iran plant on Sunday. There is a suspicion of an attack on Israel to harm the centrifuges, but it has not made any such claims so far.
