On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Indian Embassy in China organized the #BeWithYoga video competition. Four Chinese nationals have won this competition. Yoga is becoming increasingly popular in China and is practiced by a large number of Chinese people. A program was also organized by the Indian Embassy on Sunday. More than 100 Chinese citizens also participated in it. International Yoga Day, celebrated on June 21, is celebrated with great enthusiasm in China.
Yang Bai took first place in the #BeWithYoga competition organized by the Embassy. In second place was Guo Haifeng. At the same time, two people took the third place, in which Li Shuangshuang and Wang Shujiang remained in this place. Let us tell you that since its announcement by the United Nations in 2014, many programs of Yoga are organized. Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Misri and Deputy Ambassador Dr. Aquino Vimal participated in the Yoga program held at India House in Beijing. Addressing the program, Misri said that yoga is the physical and spiritual path to good health during the corona pandemic.

India has established yoga college in China
Yoga is extremely popular among Chinese people. Many Chinese students have also started their own yoga institutes. Considering the popularity of yoga, China along with India has established a yoga college at Yunnan Minju University in Kunming, Yunnan province. Indian yoga guru Mohan Bhandari, who founded an institute named ‘Yogi Yoga’ in China, said that yoga is very popular among Chinese youth and members who practice yoga are found in almost every Chinese family.
People resorted to yoga to fight mental stress
The theme of International Yoga Day 2021 is ‘Yoga for Wellness’. The corona pandemic has increased mental distress and mental health problems. Because of this many people have resorted to yoga to stay healthy and fight depression. Let us tell you that the idea of International Yoga Day was mooted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech in the United Nations General Assembly. After this, the United Nations recognized 21 June as International Yoga Day and since then it is celebrated every year around the world.
