Responding to Pakistan’s statement, Pawan Kumar Badhe, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), said that it is regrettable that Pakistan has once again made baseless and non-verbal attacks against India. This platform has been misused to make responsible allegations. He said that Pakistan is doing this only to divert the attention of the Council from the pathetic state of human rights in Pakistan.
In the UNHRC, Pawan Kumar Badhe said that the plight of minorities in Pakistan is evident from their continuously declining figures. He said that forced conversions have become a daily thing in Pakistan. We have seen reports of abduction, rape and forced conversion and marriage of minor girls from religious minorities. Every year more than 1000 girls belonging to religious minorities are forcibly converted in Pakistan.
Pakistan gives pension to terrorists
Pawan Kumar said that Pakistan is included in the list of most dangerous countries in the field of journalism. Journalists are threatened, coerced, banned, abducted, and in some cases even murdered for the main purpose of suppressing voices against the government.
He said that Pakistan, as its state policy, continues to provide pensions to dreaded and listed terrorists and hosts them in its territory. The time has come to hold Pakistan accountable for aiding and abetting terrorism.
Pakistan raised the issue of Kashmir
Exercising its right to respond following Pakistan’s comments at the 47th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), New Delhi on the persecution of minorities in Pakistan through stringent blasphemy laws, forced conversions and marriages and extrajudicial killings. Cast light on. India’s remarks came after Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Khaleel Hashmi tried to raise the issue of Kashmir in the dialogue on the High Commissioner’s annual report.
