After winning the US elections, Joe Biden took several decisions after taking over as president. Some of these decisions have overturned Trump’s order. Talking about India’s perspective, Biden’s decision is going to benefit Indians a lot. The biggest benefit is going to be for those IT professionals who have been waiting for citizenship there for decades. Apart from this, the US government has given strict warning to India’s neighbouring countries China and Pakistan. The big American IT companies have expressed happiness about the immigration bill. Many American companies, including Apple and Google, believe that Joe Biden’s move will strengthen the American economy, create jobs and make America attractive to talent from around the world.
Indian IT professionals benefit from immigration reforms
On the very first day after becoming President, Joe Biden sent a Comprehensive Immigration Bill to Congress. IT professionals will get a lot of benefits if this bill is passed by Congress. The US Citizenship Act 2021 proposes to remove the upper limit set per country for employment-based green cards. After the removal of this border, thousands of Indian IT professionals living in the US will legally end their decades-old wait for permanent residence in the US. This immigration reform was stuck for the last thirty years.
This bill will bring relief for undocumented workers. Two-thirds of undocumented immigrants have been in the US for the last 10 years or so. The bill reforms the family-based immigration system by eliminating long waiting periods, recapturing unused visas to clear backlogs, and increasing the visa limit per country. It also removes other provisions to keep families away.

Warning to Pakistan and China
According to Defense Minister Lloyd Austin in the Biden administration, China has already become a regional dominating power and is now trying to become a globally controlling power. According to Austin, the US government will have to work unitedly to stop China. Political disputes are also going on with India’s business rivalry with China. In such a situation, India can benefit from any attempt of America to stop China.
Austin highlighted Pakistan’s role in making a positive contribution to the peace process in Afghanistan but also said that anti-India militant groups have taken incomplete steps against Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Austin said that during his tenure he would pressurize Pakistan not to allow its land to be used as a refuge for terrorists.
No one should become a government in American, India is in prominence
There is a possibility of fluctuations in relations when governments change. However, in the last few decades, the relationship between America and India does not affect which party government is formed there. Joe Biden belongs to the Democratic Party. Before him, Donald Trump of the Republican Party completed one of his terms.
Barack Obama of the Democratic Party completed two terms before Trump. George W. Bush of Obama’s first Republican Party and Bill Clinton of the Democratic Party before Bush completed two terms each. America’s relations with India have been almost better during these tenures.
