In France, an unknown assailant stabbed a police officer in a police station on Friday and then shot two other officers. Officials said that the attackers have been apprehended. The exact cause of the attack is not known. The French National Police Service said the attacker was seriously injured during the arrest. He is being identified. Police said that all three police officers were injured. However, nobody’s life is threatened.
According to the police service, after stabbing a female officer at the police station in the Netes suburb of La Chape-sur-Erdre, the attacker took his gun and ran away. Samuel Cassidy (57), a VTA employee, shot and killed eight employees working with him on Wednesday and seriously injured another. It was one of the deadliest incidents of firing in California this year. On reaching the scene of the police, the attacker shot and committed suicide.
