More than 98 percent of corona cases have been detected with a quarantine or stay-at-home notice (SHN) for 14 days, said Soo Li Yang, associate professor of global health at the NUS Saw Swee School of Public Health. This includes people who have been infected during the flight. Yang said, 21 days of quarantine and some special investigations will reveal almost all the cases. Passengers arriving from India to Singapore for 21 days in Quarantine
Singapore announced new security measures on Tuesday, including at least approvals for temporary residents returning from India. Experts said that all the passengers returning from India will have to keep themselves isolated for seven days at their residence after 14 days stay in a quarantine. These new measures have come in the midst of the recent increase in cases of infection locally. Three of the new cases are believed to be due to contact with a 43-year-old Indian citizen after being infected. This Indian citizen was probably infected again in India.
His relatives got infected due to Indian citizen
Actually, an Indian citizen who had a work pass to work in Singapore was asymptomatic. He was found corona positive when he arrived in Singapore on April 2, but was discharged from the hospital a few days later. The doctors admitted that now there is no sign of infection in it. But on reaching home, two of his relatives got infected after coming in contact with him. Associate Professor Alex Cook said that positive swab samples meant that the Indian citizen Corona was infected or he had recently recovered from the infection.
