The “heartbroken” household of a girl have paid an emotional tribute following her alleged homicide.
Mckyla Taylor, 27, was discovered lifeless at a home in Lowtown Street, Worksop, shortly after 2am on Tuesday.
A homicide investigation was launched and detectives arrested a 66-year-old man in connection along with her loss of life.
David Jackson, of Worksop, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged along with her homicide.
He was remanded in custody and is subsequent because of seem at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday 22 August.
Ms Taylor’s household mentioned in a press release: “There are just no words to describe what we’re going through as a family. All we can say is our hearts are absolutely heartbroken.
“We’ve misplaced such a good looking and caring daughter, mummy, sister, auntie, granddaughter, niece and cousin.
“We’re just truly broken that our darling Mckyla has been taken from us in the worst possible way and we will never get to see her beautiful face and smile again.
“It’s simply left us with such a giant gap in our hearts that may by no means be mounted.”
Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson, of Nottinghamshire Police, added: “Mckyla’s death was an absolute tragedy and I can only imagine the pain her loved ones are going through right now.
“I’d wish to cross on my honest condolences to the household and reassure them we’re doing every thing we probably can to convey them the justice they deserve.
“We’re pleased to have taken a significant step in our investigation by charging a suspect who has now appeared before the courts.”
