The whole world knows how the dictator of Germany, Adolf Hitler, has committed crimes against Jewish people. Hitler built the Concentration Camp to kill the Jewish people, in which Jews were shut down and killed by poisonous gas. Around six million Jews were murdered during Hitler’s brutal reign. But there were also some lucky people, who got help at the right time and were saved.
During the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler, the first concentration camp was built in Dacau, Bavaria. On this day, 31,601 Jewish people locked in this camp were freed from the Nazis by the US Army. These people were counting their last breaths, but then the US Army came to them as the Messiah and took them away. On 29 April 1945, the US Army did a commendable job by safeguarding the people incarcerated in the Daku Concentration Camp. Also, people were also freed from another camp located near Dakau.
Jewish people started being sent to the camp after 1938
This camp was established in 1933, five days after Hitler became Chancellor of Germany. Dakau was a town 10 miles northwest of Munich. In the first year of the camp’s formation, five thousand political prisoners were kept here. But in the coming years, the number of prisoners here kept increasing. These prisoners included a large number of people who were opposed to the Nazi Party. At the same time, as early as 1938, a large number of Jews were imprisoned in the camp.
Medical experiments were done on prisoners
Prisoners in the dacau camp were forced to get forced labor. They were usually given construction work to increase the scope of the camp. Later, they also started making weapons. This camp also became a training center for the guards working in other concentration camps in the country. The Dacau Camp was the first such Nazi camp, where medical experiments were conducted on the prisoners. Nazi scientists used to do various experiments on the prisoners present here. They were infected with diseases like malaria and TB, then used to give them medicine. In this way, hundreds of prisoners died.
Seeing defeat in the war, the prisoners were transferred to the dacoit.
By the end of World War II, the Allied forces had penetrated into Germany. Seeing their defeat in April 1945, Nazi Germans started sending prisoners locked in concentration camps to the dacau camp. About seven thousand prisoners were forced to walk to the dakau. At the same time, seeing the defeat, the guards working in the camp left these prisoners and started running away. After this, on April 29, the US Army arrived at the Dacou Concentration Camp and liberated the prisoners who were lodged here.
A pile of corpses was found inside the camp
When American soldiers arrived at the camp, there were 30 railroad cars, which were surrounded by corpses. Within the camp, they found many dead bodies rotting and 31,601 Jewish prisoners present there were freed. The condition of these prisoners was very bad. Seeing the situation in the camp, the American soldiers were so angry that they fired indiscriminately on the two groups of arrested guards and killed them. The corpses taken out of the camp were buried in the town of Dacau.
