A person whose physique was discovered lined in a “potentially hazardous” substance had been fatally shot and doused in acid, police have mentioned.
Liam Smith was discovered useless within the Wigan suburb of Shevington on Thursday night, based on Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
The 38-year-old’s physique was found on “rough ground” in a residential avenue close to some enjoying fields.

In a press release on Sunday, GMP mentioned: “Initial data signifies that the sufferer was topic of a deadly gunshot wound and an acid assault.

“He was the most devoted dad, much loved son, brother, grandson and uncle,” they added.
“He will sorely be missed by all who knew and loved him.”
Police have mentioned anybody within the space who had any direct contact with Mr Smith’s physique ought to contact the power.
No arrests have been made and detectives have launched a homicide investigation, with a criminal offense scene nonetheless in place.
