Indian Embassy Issues Travel Advisory For Citizens: Indian Embassy in Nepal has told its citizens on Tuesday to refrain from traveling to Nepal for further travel to third countries. Earlier, Nepal had asked foreign nationals not to make their country a transit point amid their efforts to control the corona virus. Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification on Monday. In which all foreign nationals are banned from using Tribhuvan International Airport as a transit point for third countries.
Giving information in this regard, the immigration department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has said, the ban is in force from the night of 28 April and will remain in force till the next order. Citing this notification, the Indian Embassy has asked its citizens in the travel advisory to refrain from traveling to Nepal for further travel to third countries as these restrictions are in force since Wednesday. It has also been said that the facilities being provided to tourists coming to Nepal will continue.
More than three lakh cases in Nepal
These facilities will be available only to those whose last place of destination is Nepal and who will depart from Nepal. The embassy is in touch with Nepali authorities in case of providing travel facilities to the tourists already present in Nepal. So far, a total of 304,000 cases of corona virus have been reported in Nepal (Nepal Coronavirus Cases) and a total of 3,176 people have died due to infection here. At the same time, India is facing the second wave of infection, which is very deadly.
Second wave havoc in India
In India, more than three lakh cases are being reported for the past several days. There is a shortage of medical oxygen and beds in many states here. Here, 3,23,144 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. The total number of infections in India has increased to 1,76,36,307 (Total Covid Cases in India). According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday morning, 2,771 patients have died within a day, taking the total number of dead to 1,97,894.
