On the other hand, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense has been continuously accusing the Indian Army of crossing the LAC.
China’s comment on CDS Rawat’s statement
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Senior Colonel Wu Qian said on Thursday, “Regarding the status of the Western Command of the Sino-India border, China has conveyed information inside and outside and not the responsibility of China to stress is.’ Indeed, India’s Chief of Staff General Bipin Rawat said during the Raisina Dialogue this month that India was determined to prevent a change in the status quo on the northern borders. China’s official military portal reported that Wu Qian denied CDS Rawat’s talk. Wu said, the comment made by the Indian side does not completely match the facts. A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that through joint efforts by India and China, there has been a decrease in tension on the border. Soldiers from both sides have retreated from the area of Galvan Valley and Pegong Lake. He said that India will have to work to maintain peace in the border areas with China.
