A bicycle owner has launched into a 3,000-mile journey on a hand-crafted bamboo bike.
Kate Strong set off on the 90-day cycle from Big Ben on World Environment Day.
Her journey will take her throughout the size and breadth of Britain and she is going to go to 30 local weather initiatives throughout that point.
Some of these initiatives are grassroots actions similar to seaside clean-ups.
Others concentrate on nature-based options, together with rewilding seabeds and gardens.
The Welsh bicycle owner, who lives in London, has three biking world data and a triathlon championship title to her identify.
Ms Strong stated there have been “plenty of mental obstacles” dealing with her in the beginning of her newest problem.
“This has been three years in the making. And now I’m finally setting off on this journey 3,000 miles across the UK,” she stated.
“Apart from the obvious physical challenges, there are plenty of mental obstacles that come with a 90-day cycle.”
Ms Strong added that she was “grateful” for the help as she set off from the capital.
