There have been 5,292 new cases in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, which together has confirmed that a total of 8,10,231 people have been infected.
Pakistan’s positivity rate reaches 10.78 percent
The ministry said that at present there are 88,207 patients in Pakistan who are undergoing treatment in the hospital. While 7,04,494 patients have become infection free. In the last one day, health officials have tested 49,101 people in corona. In this way, the positivity rate in the country has gone up to 10.78 percent. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary said on Tuesday that in view of the increasing cases of corona and increase in the number of dead, Prime Minister Imran Khan can implement the lockdown in the cities badly affected by the infection. He said that the epidemic was discussed in the cabinet meeting.
Pakistan is struggling with oxygen crisis
At the same time, Fawad Chaudhary said that if the corona in Pakistan became uncontrollable and there was a lack of oxygen, then oxygen would be sourced from Iran and China. He said that it is a little difficult to bring oxygen from other countries to Pakistan, because it is not possible to transport it to the country via air route. The Pakistani minister acknowledged that people in Pakistan are facing an oxygen crisis. But he said that there is no need to panic right now. Oxygen will be transported through ground routes.
