British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Friday. PM Johnson tweeted and said, “I have just taken my first Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine dose. Thank you to all, including the incredible scientists, NHS staff and volunteers who helped make this happen. The best thing to do is to get the vaccine that we miss to get it back in our life. Let’s get vaccinated. ”
Many European countries had stopped giving doses of this vaccine due to the possibility of blood clotting, but now this vaccine is being given again. According to European and British drug regulatory bodies, they have conducted a thorough scientific analysis of all available data and concluded that taking the AstraZeneca vaccine did not provide evidence of blood clotting.

The vaccine was developed by Oxford University and is produced by AstraZeneca and Serum Institute of India. The UK drug and health products regulatory agency MHRA has advised that people who have a headache for four consecutive days after taking this vaccine should seek medical advice.
The British Prime Minister also wanted to clear the prevailing suspicion about the vaccine. He said, “We have always said that at this level and speed vaccination campaign, there is inevitable supply bottleneck and it is true that we are getting low vaccine doses in a short time. This is due to the delay in supply by the serum institute. He is doing a huge job by producing such a large amount of vaccines. The reason for the delay is also that the consignments we have in the UK are to be re-examined. So we will have less quantity of vaccine available in April as compared to March. But this is also more than the quantity available in February. ”
