Pakistan’s troubled state is not hidden from anyone. The country is struggling with the third wave of corona virus. The situation is that even for the vaccine, the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has to spread his hands to other countries. But in the meantime, the situation of Corona explosion has become again in Pakistan.
Thousands of people thronged the streets of Lahore on Monday, defying the Corona rules. Thousands of people took part in a religious procession. Forget social distancing, people did not even put on masks. The crowd had the feeling that there was no place even to keep the mole. People’s shoulders were hitting each other. Due to the rush of Shia Muslims in the eastern city of Lahore, there is a possibility of the rapid spread of the corona virus in Pakistan.
Stripped of government order
The Pakistani government issued a notice banning the religious procession to commemorate the passing away of the Prophet Muhammad’s companion and son-in-law Imam Ali from the world. However, the local residents ruined the order by religious leaders. Recently millions of people took part in the Kumbh in Haridwar, India and it was believed that this became a major reason for the outbreak of Corona.
8 to 10 thousand people join the procession
28-year-old Ali Kazmi, who joined this religious procession, said that as far as he remembers, he has taken part in this religious procession every year. According to an estimate, at least 8 to 10 thousand people were involved in this procession. Ali Kazmi blamed the government on the contrary, saying, ‘They are making different excuses to stop the religious program of Shia Muslims. Today, corona is a virus, before it was referred to security. These are all excuses for waste.
20 percent Shia in Pakistan
About 20 percent of Pakistan’s 22 crore population is Shia Muslim. Apart from Lahore, religious processions were also taken out in other cities. Pakistan Shia Ulama Council issued a statement before the procession and said that we reject any ban on this religious procession. You may have local elections. Your markets may open. Your government can have meetings. Then why not this. A Lahore police official said that an attempt was also made to talk to religious leaders in this regard. But he did not agree. Later he was also given protection.
