Pakistan Bomb Blast Incident: After a bomb blast in a bus full of Chinese citizens in Pakistan, it has become clear that there is a huge lack of trust between the two countries. While Pakistan said that it will get the matter investigated from every angle, China has sent its own team to investigate. Which has made it clear that he has no faith in the investigation of Pakistan. The explosion in a bus carrying Chinese nationals took place in Dasu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. In which 12 people were killed, including 9 Chinese engineers.
It has been called a ‘terrorist attack’ by China. The bus carried 40 Chinese engineers, surveyors and mechanical staff members working at the hydropower dam construction site in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The other three people who lost their lives are Pakistani nationals (China Sends Probe Team to Pakistan). At the same time, about 28 people have also been injured in the bomb blast. The Pakistan government had earlier said that the bus had exploded due to a gas leak, but China said it was a bomb blast.
Demand to increase security of Chinese citizens
Chinese Public Security Minister Zhao Keiji issued a statement saying, ‘China and Pakistan will work together to find out the truth.’ He also spoke on the phone with his Pakistani counterpart. Also told that China will send technical experts to Pakistan to conduct a criminal investigation. Along with this, he demanded from Pakistan that it should ensure the safety of Chinese citizens there (Pakistan China Bus Blast Incident). Also said that he should give the harshest punishment to those responsible behind the incident.
Pakistan repeatedly changed statement
Pakistan has also changed its statement several times in the matter. First Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the blast happened due to a technical fault. Then Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary said that the evidence related to the terrorist attack has been found. Talking about the relationship between China and Pakistan, these two countries are called evergreen friends, but the bus bombing has increased the concern of creating bitterness in the relationship. China is currently working on many of its projects in Pakistan, for which it has also invested heavily. Earlier in April, a suicide bombing took place at a luxury hotel hosting the Chinese ambassador to south-west Balochistan, killing four and injuring dozens. However, the ambassador was not injured.
