    Two individuals have been wounded in a suspected terror assault in Jerusalem, hours after a lethal capturing exterior a synagogue.

    Israel’s nationwide emergency medical and ambulance service mentioned it was referred to as to a “shooting terror attack” within the Palestinian neighbourhood of Silwan, in east Jerusalem, on Saturday morning.

    Police say they despatched a “large” power to the scene and {that a} “shooting suspect”, mentioned to be a 13-year-old boy from east Jerusalem, was “wounded and overpowered”.

    Officers mentioned a handgun utilized by the boy, described by police as a “terrorist”, was recovered on the scene.

    Two males, aged 23 and 47, and believed to be a father and son, have been wounded within the incident. They have been each taken to hospital in a “moderate to serious” situation, in line with medics.

    It comes after a Palestinian gunman shot seven individuals lifeless close to a synagogue on the outskirts of the town on Friday.

    Three others have been injured in that capturing, together with a 15-year-old boy who was recovering from surgical procedure, hospital officers mentioned.

    Police mentioned the gunman arrived at about 8.15pm native time (6.15pm UK time) and described the capturing as a “terror attack”.

    Police mentioned the gunman fled in a automobile after opening hearth and officers gave chase and after an change of fireside killed him.

    He was described as a 21-year-old resident of east Jerusalem who “carried out the attack at the scene alone”.

    Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned he had held a safety evaluation and selected “immediate actions” following Friday’s capturing.

    Mr Netanyahu urged individuals to not take the legislation into their very own palms and mentioned Israel would act with “determination and composure”.

    It comes after a lethal raid by the Israeli army on Thursday that killed 9 Palestinians within the occupied West Bank. A tenth was later killed north of Jerusalem.

    Gaza militants then fired rockets and Israel responded with air strikes in a single day. There have been no experiences of accidents.

    UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric mentioned UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was “deeply worried” by the escalation of violence and urged “utmost restraint”.
