Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday asked his top generals to maintain a high standard of operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LOC)/working border in view of the geo-strategic situation. Also, this should be done on the international border of Pakistan with Afghanistan.
General Bajwa presided over the two-day 78th Formation Commanders’ Conference. He was briefed about Pakistan’s meaningful support for the Afghan peace process and tough measures being taken to enhance border security. The Army said the participants were briefed about their strategy in response to the current geo-strategic environment, challenges to national security and emerging threats. He also held detailed discussions on many professional matters.

The Pakistan Army said, General Bajwa laid special emphasis on maintaining high standards of operational preparedness along the LOC/Working Border and the Pak-Afghan International Border in view of the evolving geo-strategic environment. The meeting was also informed about the support being given by Pakistan to the Afghan peace process and the steps being taken to enhance border security. General Bajwa expressed satisfaction over the progress of stabilization works across Pakistan after the success of Operation Rad-ul-Fasaad.
Commanders of all formations of Pakistan Army took part
Bajwa appreciated the support extended by all the formations for the national response adopted to combat the corona pandemic, locusts and polio. He said, the Pakistan Army will continue to defend and serve the country in every possible way. The meeting was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and Commanders of all formations of the Pakistan Army.
Earlier, Bajwa visited the frontier position of the Line of Control (LOC) on Saturday. Bajwa visited Sialkot and Kotli, where he participated in the concluding session of the Corps level maneuvers. During this, Bajwa was briefed by Pakistani officials about the modalities of the exercise.
