A pre-rolled joint of hemp will be given free of charge to people 21 years of age or older who come to the Cannabis dispensary in Washington to get the vaccine.
Various campaigns are being run in America to increase the speed of vaccination. In this episode, Washington state of America has offered ‘Joints for jabs’ to the people. Actually, in recent times, there has been a decrease in the speed of vaccination in the country. This is the reason why such campaigns are being run to encourage a large number of people to get the vaccine.
The sale of hemp was legalized in Washington state in 2012. A pre-rolled joint of ganja will be given free of cost to people of 21 years of age and above who come to get the vaccine at Cannabis dispensaries in the state. The move follows a decision last month that allowed bars and other liquor licensees in Washington state to offer a free beer and wine to vaccinated adults within six weeks.
People getting the vaccine in many states are getting cash rewards
According to the latest data from the Department of Health, a little more than half of the population (54 percent) in Washington state has received at least one dose of the vaccine. However, in recent weeks, the pace of vaccination has decreased across the country. That is why such campaigns are being run to encourage people. Several states, including California and Ohio, have started vaccine ‘lotteries’. In this, people who are randomly vaccinated are selected and then they are given cash prizes or college scholarships later.
Washington’s campaign will run till July 12
Other incentives offered to people in lieu of the vaccine include free sports tickets, airline flight tickets and beer. At the same time, Arizona Cannabis Dispensary has started giving free gift products to people who have got the vaccine. Washington state’s ‘vaccine for hemp’ campaign is set to last until July 12. During this, people selling ganja will have a chance to participate in it.
Vaccination target of 70 percent of the population by July 4
Let us tell you that President Joe Biden has set a target of giving at least one dose of the vaccine to 70 percent of the adult American population by July 4. July 4th is America’s Independence Day. At the same time, according to data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, at present this figure is 63.7 percent. For this reason, emphasis is being laid on intensifying the vaccination campaign in America.
