Kuwait has banned all commercial flights coming from the country in view of the growing Coronavirus cases in India. Earlier, Britain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) also imposed travel restrictions on India in view of Corona. Apart from this, Canada and New Zealand have also banned the entry of Indian aircraft into the country. At the same time, many countries of the world including America have advised their citizens to avoid traveling to India.
According to Reuters news, Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a tweet on Saturday that it has banned all direct commercial flights from India. This ban has come into effect from April 24 and will remain in effect till further notice. At the same time, the statement said that the entry of all travelers coming to Kuwait directly from India or through any other country will be banned, unless they have spent at least 14 days outside India. It states that Kuwaiti citizens and their assistants are exempted from this.
UAE imposed flight ban for 10 days
Significantly, in view of the deteriorating situation in India from Corona, the UAE and Canadian governments have already banned flights coming from India. According to media reports, in view of the Corona crisis in India, UAE has banned flights coming from India for 10 days from Sunday. According to Gulf News report, UAE’s travel ban will become effective from midnight on 24 April and will continue for 10 days to come. It has been said in the reports that travelers who have spent the last 14 days in India will not be allowed to enter from any corner of the world.
India has entered into bio bubble agreement with 28 countries
Gulf News reports that flights going from UAE to India will continue. UAE citizens, holders of diplomatic passports and official delegations are exempted from the restrictions. UAE is the latest country to impose a travel ban on travelers from India. On the other hand, the Canadian government has also said that it is banning flights coming from India and Pakistan for 30 days. This has been done in view of the increasing corona cases in this area. At the same time, India has entered into a bio-bubble agreement with 28 countries, including the US. Flights continue with these countries.
