There have been 25 reported cases of rare blood clots in the UK, possibly linked to the AstraZeneca Vaccine. After the cases of blood clot came to the fore again questions on the credibility of the vaccine are being raised. Earlier, in view of the cases of blood clot that came after the vaccine, many European countries had taken careful steps to ban the vaccine. After this, the European Medical Agency investigated the matter and cleared the use of the vaccine.
The Medical and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said in a statement on Thursday, “The total number of such cases has risen to 30 since the blood clot cases have surfaced in the UK.” The regulator says that the benefit of the vaccine is questioning its efficacy. Investigations are now underway on the AstraZeneca vaccine, developed in collaboration with Oxford University. Doubts are being raised about this vaccine in Europe. However, the vaccine continues to be used in many countries of Europe, even after blood clot cases have been reported. Till now, millions of vaccine doses have been given to people to avoid the outbreak of the epidemic.
Blood clot case seen in one person in every six lakh people
The UK agency said that as of 24 March, 1.81 crore people had been given the AstraZeneca vaccine. Out of this, only 30 people have seen cases of blood clot. Earlier, the agency reported on March 18 that after giving vaccine doses to 1.1 crore people, only five people had a blood clot case. According to this new report, after the introduction of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Britain, the rate of blot clot is only one in six lakh people. At the same time, no such cases have been reported after the vaccination of Pfizer and BioNotech. Vaccination is also being done through both these vaccines in Britain.
There are some side effects of every vaccine: MHRA
MHRA stated that the benefit of the vaccine against the COVID-19 outweighs the risk based on ongoing reviews. So whenever you are called to apply the vaccine, you should get it done. The agency said that AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccine showed a high level of protection against COVID-19. It also said that every vaccine has some side effects. Let us know that one of the fastest vaccination campaigns in the world is going on in Britain. By the end of March, half of the country’s adults have been vaccinated. There has also been a decrease in new cases of corona and deaths from it.
