10 passengers killed, 45 injured in a terrible road accident in Croatia, police said – the worst accident ever

Croatia (Croatia) In the early hours of Sunday, 10 passengers were killed and at least 45 others were injured when a bus crashed on a highway. police gave this information. Police said the accident happened around 6 a.m. local time near the town of Slavonski Brod on the highway connecting the capital Zagreb and the border with Serbia.

Pictures from the scene showed firefighters and rescue workers around the bus while traffic on the highway was blocked. Police said the bus had a Kosovo license plate and was going on a regular journey from Germany to the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. The reason behind the accident of the bus was not immediately known.

Condition of eight passengers critical

Local police chief Franjo Galick said there were more than 60 people on the bus. He said that this is the worst accident ever that happened in front of him. He told that 45 injured have been sent to the hospital in Slavonski Brod. Hospital chief Josip Samardczyk said eight of the injured were in critical condition.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrzej Plenkovic expressed “sadness and grief” over the incident and offered his condolences to the relatives of those killed in the crash and to the people of Kosovo. He tweeted and expressed hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.

30 killed in road accident in Pakistan

Earlier on Monday, there was a horrific road accident in Pakistan. A bus full of passengers collided with a truck in Dera Ghazi Khan district of Punjab province. It was reported that 30 people were killed in the accident. At the same time, more than 40 people were injured. Most of the workers in the bus were on their way to their homes to celebrate Eid al-Adha. Officials had told that the bus was going from Sialkot to Rajanpur.

During this, the bus had crashed on the Indus Highway near Taunsa bypass of Dera Ghazi Khan district. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. Medical workers of the hospital said that 18 people had died before reaching the hospital. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry confirmed that at least 30 people had died in the accident near Dera Ghazi Khan.
