In an interesting incident, a YouTuber gifted one of Apple’s newly launched products, the AirTag, to Apple CEO Tim Cook. Not only to him, but also to Elon Musk, CEO of YouTuber Tesla. The YouTuber then made a video to explain what happened when he sent AirTags to Cook, Musk and North Korea. Apple this year launched AirTag, a small tracking device for lost luggage.
The device can be used tied to a purse, or you can attach it to your dog’s collar. However, some people prefer to use things in an unconventional way and send it to powerful people. As reported by 9to5Mac, a YouTuber who runs the Megalang channel sent an AirTag to Tim Cook and another to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. He was gifting this to everyone, so he also sent an AirTag to North Korea.
The airtags were shipped from Frankfurt, Germany and YouTuber was able to locate the devices using Find My Network. YouTube tracked all these things when they arrived at DHL facilities, airports and left for different countries.
The YouTuber revealed in his video that the AirTag sent to Tim Cook stayed at Apple Park in Cupertino for six weeks before being sent back to where it was sent. Not just the device, Apple also sent a letter addressed to the YouTuber along with the device.
The letter read, Dear Jonathan, Thanks for sharing about your project for Apple Airtags. We are delighted to hear about the creative use of airtags and how they can improve the lives of our customers. As you can imagine, Mr. Cook receives hundreds of letters every month from customers like you. Unfortunately, he is unable to respond to every request. But we hope you continue to enjoy your AirTag as it returns from its unique journey around the world!
