YouTube New Feature: YouTube said on Wednesday that it has added a new feature called Super Thanks. With the help of this, a new system of monetization will be available for the creators on the platform. Fans watching YouTube videos can now use Super Thanks to show their support and gratitude. Users will see an animated GIF as an added bonus and a separate, colorful comment to highlight their purchases, which creators can reply to, the statement said.
Currently, SuperThanks is available at four prices between US$2 and US$50 (or its local currency equivalent). The feature was in beta testing and will now be available to thousands of monetized creators.
The feature will be available on desktop and mobile devices (Android and iOS) for creators and viewers in 68 countries, the statement said. Creators can check if they have access by reading the instructions there. If they don’t have access, there is no need to fear. According to the statement, he will make the availability available to all eligible creators later this year.
YouTube’s Chief Product Officer Neil Mohan said that for creators, growing a business isn’t all-in-one way. He further added that in YouTube, they find new ways by which creators can diversify their revenue stream. So they are looking forward to presenting their 4th paid digital Good Super Thanks. He further said that this new feature will give creators a new way to earn money, with which they will also be able to strengthen their relationship with the audience.
