Sparrow News spotted two separate posts on Weibo by tipster digital chat station, according to which the company may ship the Xiaomi 12 with a 50-megapixel primary camera. According to the report, the Xiaomi 12 could have an under-screen camera along with ultra-wide angle and periscopic and telephoto lenses. This phone can support 100W fast charging. Xiaomi has not yet given any details about this smartphone, but previous leaks suggest that the company may launch the Xiaomi 12 series in December. If this happens, these will be the first phones equipped with Snapdragon’s new processor.
According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 12 may sport a full-HD+ display, which is lower than the display on the Mi 11 series that came last year. Recent reports had said that the Xiaomi 12 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, although this processor has not been announced yet. Qualcomm recently announced that it has split the Qualcomm and Snapdragon brands. It is believed that the new processor will be launched at the Qualcomm Tech Summit between November 30 and December 2.
Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which could be the company’s next high-end smartphone, could sport a quad rear camera setup. The main sensor in this will be the GN5 of 50 megapixels. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the specifications and features of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but they are expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2022.
