People’s opinion taken through Twitter poll
Let us tell you that earlier on Friday, Musk conducted a Twitter poll, in which he asked users whether they believed that the company was following the principles of freedom of speech. Giving the caption of this poll, he wrote, “Freedom of speech is essential in any democracy. Do you believe that Twitter strictly adheres to this principle?” About 70% of the users have answered ‘no’ to this. This means that 70 percent of users believe that Twitter is not following these principles.
If Musk goes ahead with his plan to build a new platform, he will join a growing portfolio of tech companies that claim to establish themselves as champions of free speech. This includes platforms like Twitter, Meta’s Facebook, Alphabet’s owned Google’s YouTube.
