WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp is developing a new interface for voice calls. It will give more compact and modern experience to the users. Some screenshots of the development have also been shared in the report. These show how the redesigned interface is different from the existing interface.
WABetaInfo took this screenshot via the iOS version of WhatsApp, which states that this redesigned interface will be for Android as well.
So far, no information has been received regarding the release of this new interface. As mentioned, it is currently not even available for beta testers.
The news about this new voice calling interface of WhatsApp now comes several months after the messaging app launched the feature of calls that can be joined in group chats. With this feature, users can directly join voice or video calls that are already going on in their group.
Recently, there was news for WhatsApp that it is also working on end-to-end encryption for calls and status updates. Apart from this, recently a shortcut was also found on WhatsApp Business to give quick replies to beta testers.
WhatsApp has also given an update to the voice message feature last week. Now users can also preview a voice message before sending it. With this, WhatsApp has tried to make the voice message experience better for the users.
