A few days ago there was news that WhatsApp will now allow users to react to messages, now the first glimpse of this upcoming feature has surfaced online. The Facebook-owned messaging app is working to bring emoji reactions to Messages. The feature is already available on apps like Facebook, Instagram, iMessage and even LinkedIn. So if you don’t like to reply to every single message you receive, you can just react to the message using emoji.
Well-known tipster Wabetainfo first told about the upcoming feature of WhatsApp. Screenshots shared by Wabetainfo showed that emoji reactions will appear just below the messages sent on the app. This feature will be available for both individual and group chats. Wabetainfor has said in its report that the people of the group will be able to see it personally who have reacted to the message.
Can react multiple times on one message
Wabetainfo also revealed that you can react multiple times to a message with different emoji. The process is also fully encrypted so that no one outside the chat can see your reactions. Messages can have an unlimited limit of reactions, but if you have more than 999 reactions, you will read “999+”. This especially applies in group chats.
The WhatsApp feature tracker shows that this feature is currently being developed. The end product may be different from the product that appears during the beta update.
WhatsApp users will get the feature to transfer chat history in Android phones
WhatsApp has officially introduced the possibility to transfer chat history from iPhone to Android phone. However, initially this feature will not be rolled out to all Android phones, starting with WhatsApp Samsung phones that are running Android 10 and above. To transfer data, users will need a USB-Type C cable in the Lightning connector. Even after you transfer your data from the old device to the new phone, your data will be stored in the old device for as long as you want. If you want to get rid of it, you can remove it manually.
