Vodafone Idea has increased the benefits of Rs 199 prepaid plan and is now offering 28 days validity with 1.5 GB daily data as against 1 GB daily data and 24 days validity.

After the introduction of new prepaid plans of Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea has started increasing the validity of its plans. Earlier this week, Airtel revised its Rs 199 prepaid plan to offer additional benefits to select users. Its Rs 199 prepaid plan which normally offers 1GB daily data for 24 days along with unlimited calls and SMS benefits was giving 1.5GB daily data to some users with a validity of 35 days.
This scheme is not for all users and may be available for users who have not recharged recently or subscribed to Smart Recharge Pack. Now, Vodafone Idea is offering the same benefit to select users with its Rs 199 prepaid plan. In this plan, users get 1GB data daily for 24 days. Users also get unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day along with additional benefits of Vi Movies and TV.
In the new change, the telecom company is now offering 1.5GB daily data with a validity of 28 days on the prepaid plan of Rs 199. Unlimited calls are also being given in this plan and the extra benefits of the plan will remain the same.
No daily data limit in Rs 447 plan
Vi has also not launched any daily data limit or retail data scheme worth Rs 447. There is no daily data limit in this scheme which means that the user can use as much data as he wants till the limit is not exhausted. This scheme offers 50GB data with daily data limit scheme for 60 days. Unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day are also available in this plan. It also offers access to Vi Movies and TV.
The benefits of Vi’s Rs 447 prepaid plan are similar to Airtel’s newly launched Rs 456 and Jio’s Rs 447 prepaid plan which offers bulk data and unlimited calls. Airtel’s Rs 456 prepaid plan offers 50GB data, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day with a validity of 60 days.
Preparing to give tough competition to Jio
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has suggested that telcos to offer high validity benefits in their prepaid schemes to increase the benefits following complaints from customers who felt cheated with the validity of 28 days. making improvements. Jio has introduced new prepaid plans with validity and daily data limits of 15, 30, 60, 90 and 365 days. The telco also notified TRAI to direct other telcos to issue plans with a validity of 30 days. Reports also state that telecom companies are expecting an increase in ARPU, which is why they are releasing these schemes.
