To fight Covid-19, Vivo has announced Rs 10 crore to India and Samsung has announced Rs 37 crore.
Covid 19 Help By Samsung And Vivo
Smartphone maker Vivo has announced a support of Rs 10 crore, giving its support in India’s fight against the second wave of COVID. Apart from this, South Korean giant technology company Samsung has announced to give Rs 37 crore.
Earlier recently, Vivo had announced a donation of Rs 2 crore to overcome the lack of oxygen in the country. As part of the VivoCare initiative, Vivo has taken several initiatives to help the needy during this devastating second wave of COVID. The company will donate Rs 6 crore worth of oxygen concentrators to various government hospitals to support COVID relief measures.

Vivo is committed to its people and this initiative is just a small step to increase our support to the communities.
Earlier also Vivo India had announced a donation of Rs 2 crore to overcome the lack of oxygen in the country and then the accomplished Maria said that we are all working together and we need a team to defeat COVID Must fight as a unit. Vivo is committed to supporting communities in the face of this test.
The company will also provide food packets for COVID patients
The company has also partnered with ISKCON to distribute 100,000 free cooked food packets to the homes of COVID-fighting patients and their families in Gurugram.
Apart from this, Vivo will also collaborate with the Akshaya Patra Foundation, the world’s largest mid-day meal program provider, to provide a six-month Happiness Kit for all 500 students of a government school in Delhi.
The six-month long Happiness Project will support nutrition through food items, education through books and stationery and hygiene through daily essentials. It has also promised to donate two ambulances equipped with cardio ventilator machines.
Vivo had earlier donated 9 lakh masks, 15,000 PPE suits and 50,000 liters of sanitizer to the state and central government agencies in 2020 to help fight the epidemic.
Samsung announced to give Rs 37 crore
Samsung has announced that it will give 5 million dollars (about 37 crores rupees) to the government to fight this epidemic in view of the current environment of COVID. The company will provide donations to the Central and State Governments to promote the healthcare sector with the necessary medical equipment for hospitals.
Samsung has said in a statement that the decision has been taken after consultation with various stakeholders in India and assessing the immediate needs of local administrations.
The company will donate 3 million dollars to the Center as well as the states of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Samsung will provide medical supplies worth $ 2 million (about Rs 14 crore) to Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, including 100 oxygen constructors, 3,000 oxygen cylinders and 1 million low dead space (LDS) syringes.
In addition, the company will also cover vaccination costs for more than 50,000 eligible employees and beneficiaries in India, to ensure the safety of their lives by providing them with a vaccine. Earlier in April 2020 too, Samsung had contributed 20 crores rupees in India’s fight against the epidemic.
