Twitter New Feature: Twitter is testing many features to give users a better experience. The microblogging website has now started a new feature, with the help of which you will be able to decide who can reply to your old tweets. By introducing this feature, the company is giving users more control over the reply of their tweets. The feature to limit replies was first introduced in 2020. Twitter has expanded this feature and now you can change who will be able to reply to your tweets after you post them.
Earlier, who could reply to your tweets, this could only be done when they were done. You couldn’t change it after that. The new feature was first discovered by Prolific researcher Jane Manchun Wong in June, and Twitter is now rolling it out to all users using the stable version.
How to use
After posting the tweet, you just have to tap the three dot button directly and the menu will pop-up. Here you will get a new option, in which you can change who can reply to you.
The company said that conversations on Twitter can be noisy and difficult to follow. For a better conversational experience, you can open a reply for everyone, the people you follow or just the people you mentioned, even after you’ve posted a Tweet.
